My name is Debra Weiss and I’m the editor of Today’s Teen Writer.
The only thing I enjoy as much as writing is writing about writing. I started Today’s Teen Writer in January 2009, although I’d been dreaming about it and planning out issues for months before that.
I started writing for publication as a young teen and was often frustrated and discouraged by the lack of good information targeted at young writers, so I did what all writers do when they encounter roadblocks, I wrote anyway.
That is the best writing lesson I could ever share with you. Life is going to happen – there will be tests, and thirty pages of literature you’re supposed to read, and younger siblings and extracurricular activities.
But don’t let that get you down – keep writing!
If you’d like to know more about me – you can connect with me on my website, on Facebook, or even Twitter.
